Anderson Education Foundation partners with Anderson Community Schools to provide first-time period pouches

The Anderson Education Foundation (AEF) began a new project this fall to supply schools with feminine hygiene products. First time period “pouches” were donated to the elementary, intermediate and middle schools at Anderson Community Schools (ACS). In addition to hygiene products, these pouches contain motivational stickers, chocolate, and a letter from corporation nurse, Ann Poole.

“First time periods are a delicate time for young ladies,” said Poole. “This provides a thoughtful, and supportive gift for this time. I am so happy the AEF has made this happen.”

The project was made possible through funds provided by Community Hospital, Madison County Health Department, and supply donations from Ascension Medical Group. To donate to this project, click here or mail a check to: Anderson Education Foundation, 1600 Hillcrest Avenue, Anderson, IN 46011.

The Anderson Education Foundation (AEF) was created in 1978 to serve as a bridge between the community and Anderson Community Schools. AEF's mission is to provide resources for educators to enrich and expand educational opportunities for students in Anderson Community Schools. The AEF is a proud member of the Indiana Association of Public Education Foundations (INAPEF).
